Ralsei and Kris Plush Amigurumi from Deltarune

Have you played Deltarune yet? I had to wait a few days due to travel and work, and I quit the internet so I could have a spoiler-free playthrough. It is a really fun, cute, (free!) game, even better if you are an Undertale fan. Of course I had to make some fanart the only way I know how - with yarn.

Ralsei was my first one to make since his design is my favorite, reminds me of my Final Fantasy 1 Black Mage. I wanted Ralsei to be plush and fluffy, so I found some black fuzzy yarn and got to work. Poor thing actually doesn't have arms under his cloak because it made him lose the shape I wanted (streamlined). But he is still cute and has a removable scarf and glasses. I'm happy with how he turned out!

Kris on the other hand... The Kris plush was a bit harder because he lacks a face. I felt like I had to compensate for it, so I made him "real" hair aka hair that is not just crocheted. It took three layers of brushed yarn to get his hair full enough to my liking. I actually have been watching DIY hair cutting videos to figure out how to cut these brushed yarn hair dolls... And his turned out! I'm still not entirely happy with it, so I think on the next one I'll try sewing the hair in, rather than latch hooking it in and having to cover up all the "parts" in his hair. Still looks good! Just could be better.

Of course I made them hug. <3 I was really nervous the whole playthrough there would be some awful twist that would make me dislike Ralsei, so I waited until the end to make these guys.

I'm hoping to make Susie next, oh man, that's gonna be a lot of hair....
There will be some rebranded and redesigning on this blog, as well, in the upcoming weeks. I'm trying to get ready to make this a real thing rather than a side hobby/gig. So please pardon the dust as changes are made. Thank you!
