Spring Frog Pattern

Woah, I actually got a comment on my blog! Sometimes it just feels like I'm talking to myself. But the comment was a request for the Spring Frog Pattern, originally shown in my post here.

So I whipped up another frog and took pictures to go along with the instructions. This frog looks a little different than his predecessor due to felt eyes instead of safety eyes, but he's the same! I was tempted to give him googly eyes but he looked TOO crazy. :) His mouth opens and shuts, and you can tuck his tongue in to make him look a little more solemn.

You can download the pattern with photos HERE on my google drive, or keep on scrolling for text only.
Feel free to contact me on my Facebook page for any questions you might have!

--Construction--

Feet
Attach the feet right side up to the body (which is right side out). I attached mine right next to the magic circle of the body. Sew, knot, and hide tail of yarn inside the body.
Mouth
Take the pink mouth and make sure it is inside out (thus the pretty part is like the inside of the “bowl” shape of the mouth)
Place the mouth inside the body.
Using the pink yarn, attach to the wrong side of the body between the 8th and 9th round.
Sew around, knot, and hide tail in between the body and mouth.
Eyes
Using black yarn, French knot a pupil in each of the eye whites. Alternatively, use plastic eyes or black felt dots.
Hot glue or sew your eye white to the eyelid.
Your eyelid should be somewhat “n” shaped and flat where you did not join your magic circle. That flat part is attached to the right side of the head starting in between round 1 & 2  and ending between round 5&6.

Head & Body & Tongue
Locate 5 centered stitches at the back of the body and sew the back of the head on—it should form a hinge.

Sew the tongue into the very middle of the magic circle of the mouth. And it’s done! J
