Fluffy Psyduck Plush and Slippers

Psyduck has always been my favorite Pokemon. Heck, ducks have always been my favorite animal. I can't believe it's taken me so long to finally crochet an amigurumi of Psyduck. I think seeing Detective Pikachu put me finally over the edge and I needed more Psyduck in my life. Such a cutie.

Everyone is going on about the upcoming Pokemon games, Let's Go! Eevee & Pikachu! But did anyone ask Eevee and Pikachu if they wanted to go?

Snubbull Pattern

Here's another Pokemon pattern, this time for a Generation 2 Pokemon, Snubbull!
With the new Pokemon Go update, I've been seeing a lot of Snubbulls in my neighborhood and decided to make a pattern for one. It took a few tries, but I'm happy with this one. Please let me know if I made any typos or mistakes - I have no proofreaders!

Charmander Pokemon Crochet Pattern

These Charmanders are stocking stuffers for a class at a local school who were in need of some cheering. I specifically designed them to be easy to make and easy to give away. 

I wanted a quick, cute, and efficient Pokemon pattern. Something that kids would recognize, or if they didn't know Pokemon, would still like. Oddish, Poliwag, Voltorbs, all those round, easier Pokemon were a no-go. I finally settled on Charmander. Even if you didn't know or like Pokemon, he could still be thought of as a dragon or dinosaur. Also, he is DARLING so there.

So after creating NINE of him and tweaking the pattern over and over, here it is! His body and head are connected, saving some time. I did some facial sculpting just by weaving yarn back and forth through his eye sockets, but if you like the straight forward approach you can omit that. 

Pikachu, take two!

Halloween has come and gone, and I didn't craft NEARLY as many things as I wanted to. I'll chat more about that at the bottom, since most of you are here for Pikachu. :)

While I love using 53 Stitches pattern for Pikachu and many other Pokemon, I found Studio Crafti's Pikachu pattern and thought it was super cute. Unfortunately, they took the written pattern down recently for revisions, so the Pikachu in these photos might be different than their new pattern indicates. They still have their tutorial up on YouTube, however:

Horsea Pokemon Pattern

I think making Pokemon is the only thing keeping me from crocheting all things Halloween right now. For those of you that think August is too early for Halloween crafts, I have a more "summery" pattern for you.

Machop Pattern

Pokemon Handprint Painting for Toddlers

My daughter loves crafts--especially paint. I feel like every day we have to paint at least once. She has some sensory issues but really looooves the feel of paint on her hands/ her hands being painted. So we made some Pokemon art today!
